There’s no need to deny that sometimes, life can get ahead of you. Sometimes you’re so totally stressed out that you don’t even feel like getting out of bed in the morning. On days like these, it is important to look your best. Why? Because when you look your best, you feel your best. I have put together a “look-more-put-together-than-your-life-actually-is” look, that’s so easy to copy! You can thank me later…
Doing your hair can definitely take some time, especially if you have long hair like mine. To make it easy, put your hair up. A pony or bun shows confidence, and everyone loves a person with confidence.
Along with hair, makeup also takes time. So, do something simple. Mascara + a little bit of foundation + blush + bronzer is ideal. However, if you’re really not in the makeup mood then put on some moisturizer and curl your lashes. At least then you won’t look tired! (Future post coming soon with a tip on curling your lashes!)
I have paired a few of the most basic pieces: a white button down shirt (similar here) and dark jeans. White button downs are extremely flattering, and there’s no way to not look put together while wearing one. (Tip: If it’s not fitted, tuck the front into your jeans. You can even go a step further and add your favorite belt.) Dark wash skinny jeans are so simple and look perfect with a light colored top. (Tip: Roll the ankles up. Trust me on this one.) Pair this with any shoe that fits what you’ll be doing that day. Heels, flats, or even the right sneaker would look perfect with this outfit. Similar sandals here.
Accessories are key to this outfit. I paired this look with a pair of pearl earrings (similar here), a matching necklace (similar here), and a sterling silver watch (here or similar here). This outfit would also look amazing with a simple gold dainty necklace and matching ring. Finish this outfit off with your favorite bag. I used my Kate Spade purse (similar here or here) to match with my Jacks!
